Generators
Easy handling- No cogging torque, maintenance-free!
NdFeBo permanent magnets – these are the strongest permanent magnets currently available. No cogging torque, maintenance-free!
To ensure long, maintenance-free service of the generators in the ANTARIS wind turbine, the copper winding in the stator is configured to meet insulation class F (155° C).
As the repeller is attached directly on the generator shaft, BRAUN Windturbines GmbH employs special ball bearings to reliably take up the axial and radial forces that are produced.
The copper winding is fitted exclusively by hand. Despite progressive automation in other generator components (CNC production), hand-fitted windings continue to be the preferred option for good reason. This ensures that the insulating materials used undergo full inspection, meeting the stringent demands BRAUN Windturbines GmbH places on quality.
Incidentally, this also applies to setting up the magnetic field in the rotor (moving part of the generator). Here too, the magnets are fitted by hand, with polarity subsequently being checked. To ensure that the magnets do not become detached, they are glued in the grooved rotor with high-strength adhesive. The entire rotor is additionally potted in impregnating resin. In short, quality workmanship "Made in Germany"!
The generators are used as battery chargers, for grid-connected operation or for heating up heater elements (wind-powered heating).
Power output ranges from 1.5 kW to 6.5 kW (14.0 kW max. for brief periods). Appropriate control systems for applications of this type are also available (see picture gallery).
If you wish to drive the generator with a diesel or similar engine (combined heat and power system), it may be possible to dispense with any gearing as a result of speed adjustment on the generator side.
Weight: 50 kg
Base anchoring
Shaft diameter: 28 mm etc.
Housing material: aluminium
Cooling: surface, fan wheel
Direction of rotation: either
Type: 10-24-pole (depending on size); protection rating: IP55
Efficiency: 90-95 %
This generator series is designed for wind and water turbine systems! Efficiency remains virtually constant throughout the speed range. The generators are of non-cogging design so that the wing energy system can start up easily at low wind speeds. They are predominantly used for feeding energy from wind energy systems into the grid and are geared to the Windy Boys from SMA (Windy Boy 1100, 1700, 2500, 3000, 3300, 3800) in terms of their power output range. Rotor diameter should be 2.50 m – 4.10 m.
Needless to say, we can also manufacture generators delivering higher power output levels and with a greater number of poles (for low speeds) – just ask us!
